Sherried Beef

Serves 4-6


  • 1 kg lean topside, cut into thin strips
  • 60g seasoned plain flour
  • 30g Australian ghee
  • 1 small green pepper, sliced
  • 150g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1 cup Australian cream
  • cooked rice, for serving

  1. Coat beef in seasoned flour. Melt ghee in a frypan, add beef and cook until browned. Add pepper and mushrooms and fry for 10 minutes or until beef is cooked and tender. Remove from heat and blend in sherry and cream. Return to low heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring well. Serve with rice.
