Porridge

Serves 1 large or 2 small

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Australian skim milk powder
  • 1/2 cup instant oats
  • 1 tablespoon sultanas (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon unprocessed bran
  • salt to taste (pinch)
  • 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon wheatgerm
  • 1/4 cup Australian milk

Method

  1. Place water in a saucepan. Add milk powder, oats, sultanas, bran and pinch of salt. Bring to the boil, stirring all the time. Lower heat and simmer gently until cooked. Spoon into breakfast bowl and top with sugar, wheatgerm and milk. Serve with a glass of fresh fruit juice.
