Pecorino Croutons


  • 2 slices toasting bread
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup grated Australian pecorino cheese
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 25g Australian butter

  1. Remove crust from bread and cut in half to form triangles. Mix egg, cheese and pepper and soak bread in egg mixture. Fry croutons in butter until golden brown on both sides. Serve as an accompaniment to soup.
