Pea and Carrot Creme

Serves 6


  • 1 cup yellow split peas
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 onions, roughly chopped
  • 2 carrots, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup Australian skim milk powder
  • seasonsings to taste

  1. Place peas, water, onions and carrots into a large saucepan. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Puree in blender with milk powder. Return to pan and gently reheat without boiling. Add seasonings. Serve with freshly chopped mint on top.
