Parmesan with Sweet Balsamic

Makes 1/3 cup


  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • wedge Australian parmesan cheese, for serving
  • ripe pears, for serving

  1. 1. Combine balsamic vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until reduced to a thick syrup. Cool completely.
  2. 2. Arrange a wedge of parmesan drizzled with balsamic glaze and accompanied with pears.

Tips / Handy Hints

Make a simple balsamic glaze by combining 1 cup balsamic vinegar and 2 tablespoons sugar. Simmer together for 10 minutes, until thick and syrupy and cool before serving with parmesan cheese and pears at your next dinner party!
