Paprika Cheese 'n' Beef Balls

Serves 4


  • 250g lean minced topside steak
  • 200g Australian curd-style cottage cheese
  • 1 cup soft fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon mild paprika
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  1. Mix mince, cottage cheese, breadcrumbs and egg together. Shape into 12 balls. Combine remaining ingredients in a large heavy based saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Add cheese balls, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
