Nutty Cookies

Makes 20-24


  • 60g Australian butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 cup toasted muesli
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup instant Australian full cream milk powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts

  1. Melt the butter and golden syrup together in a small pan. Mix together the bicarbonate soda and boiling water, pour into the butter mixture and mix well. Place the remaining ingredients into a bowl and add the liquid. Mix well then shape into walnut sized balls. Place onto a buttered baking tray and bake at 180C for 10 minutes or until firm to touch. Cool on a wire rack.
