Macaroni Meat Pie

Serves 8-10


  • 250g lean minced steak
  • 250g sausage meat
  • 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 185g can Australian evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 30g Australian ghee or butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 250g Australian cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 x 440g can tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup grated Australian mozzarella cheese

  1. Combine meat, breadcrumbs, milk, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce and pepper. Press into a buttered 25cm shallow dish. Bake at 200C for 10 minutes. Melt ghee and saute onion for 5 minutes. Stir in cottage cheese, paprika, macaroni and soup. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake at 180C for 20 minutes.
