Honey and Soy Beef Stirfry

Serves 2 adults and 2 children


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 400g lean beef strips
  • 1 tablespoon salt reduced soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tomato, cut into wedges

  1. 1. Heat half the oil in a wok over high heat.
  2. 2. Stirfry all vegetables, except tomato, for 3-4 minutes or until cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat remaining oil in wok and stirfry beef in batches until cooked.
  4. 4. Return vegetables and remaining ingredients to the wok and stirfry until heated through. Serve with rice or noodles.

Tips / Handy Hints

For children under 3 years, soften vegetables in the microwave before stirfrying. Also try with chicken or pork fillets. Serve adult portions with a few cashew nuts or some chopped chilli and fresh coriander.
