Foundation Scone Dough

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons Austratlian butter
  • 3/4-1 cup Australian milk
  • egg or milk glaze

  1. Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Rub in butter lightly with fingertips. Add milk and mix to a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly. Roll out to 1.5cm thickness. Cut scones and blace on a buttered tray. Brush with glaze. Bake at 230C for 7-10 minutes.
