Flowerpot Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 6 slices wholegrain bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup Australian light cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fruit chutney
  • 6 slices sandwich ham
  • 1 carrot, cut into fine strips
  • 1 stalk celery, cut into fine strips
  • alfalfa sprouts, for garnish

Method

  1. Using a rolling pin, lightly flatten each slice of bread. Combine the cream cheese and chutney and spread over the bread. Top with a slice of ham. Arrange the carrot and celery strips diagonally across each slice of bread and roll up as for asparagus rolls. Cut in half and stand each piece upright. Garnish with alfalfa.
