Egg Bread

Serves 4


  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups Australian milk
  • 2 tablespoons Australian Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Australian butter
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce

  1. Whisk together the egg, milk, Parmesan cheese, parsley and season to taste. Melt the butter in a large frypan. Dip each slice of bread into egg mixture until soaked through. Fry the bread in the melted butter until crisp and golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce or tomato wedges and a glass of milk.
