Curry Packed Pita

Serves 2


  • 1 round wholemeal pita bread
  • 1 teaspoon Australian butter
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup finely grated carrot
  • 2 tablespoons diced green pepper
  • 1/2 apple, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Australian cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Curry Cream Dressing (see recipe)
  • 1/4 cup Australian sour cream (18% milkfat) or Australian fresh cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • pepper to taste

  1. Split the pita bread in half to give two rounds. Spread the inside of each round with butter then place the remaining ingredients along one side of each round. Roll the pita bread around the filling and wrap tightly in plastic and refrigerate. To eat, peel back the plastic film. Serve with a glass of fruit juice.
  2. CURRY CREAM DRESSING - Mix together all ingredients until smooth. Store in refrigerator.
