Coconut Tuiles


  • 125g castor sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 75g plain flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon dessicated coconut
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 75g Australian Butter, melted

  1. In a bowl place the sugar, vanilla, flour and coconut. Whisk in the eggs and pour in the butter. On a lined tray spread 1 tablespoon of mixture to form flat rounds. Bake at 190°C for 4-5 minutes or until golden. Whilst tuiles are still warm drape over a rolling pin or shape to desired shape and allow to cool. When cool store in an airtight container.
