Chocolate Ganache

Makes 1 cup approximately


  • 125g Australian unsalted butter, chopped
  • 100g dark cooking chocolate, chopped

  1. 1. Combine butter and chocolate in a glass bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water.  Allow to melt, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth.
  2. 2. Allow to cool to room temperature or refrigerate and stir occasionally until firm.
  3. 3. Spread over fresh or warm hot cross buns to serve.

Tips / Handy Hints

This chocolate ganache also makes a decadent icing for chocolate cake.
