Chicken Pie a la King

Serves 4


  • 5 slices fresh wholemeal bread, crumbed
  • 1 chicken fillet, cooked and diced
  • 1/2 red pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup peas
  • 1 x 220g can mushrooms in white sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Australian skim milk
  • seasonings to taste

  1. Firmly press the breadcrumbs into the base and sides of a 23cm pie dish. Bake at 200oC for 15 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients together and pour into pie shell. Reduce heat to 180oC and bake for 20 minutes or until set. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Serve with salad.
