Carrot and Yogurt Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 1 cup Australian natural set yogurt
  • extra Australian natural set yogurt
  • poppy seeds, for sprinkling

Method

  1. Combine flour, salt, carrot and chives together. Stir in the yogurt to form a soft dough. Roll out to 2 cm thickness on a floured surface and cut into rounds using a 5 cm scone cutter. Place on a floured scone tray. Brush the tops of the scones with extra yogurt and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake at 23OoC for 12- 15 minutes or until golden brown.
