BBQ Lamb Kebabs

  • 750g boned leg lamb
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • seasonings to taste
  • 1 large potato, cut into 2cm cubes, blanched
  • 1 green pepper, cut into 2cm squares
  • 1 red pepper, cut into 2cm squares
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup Australian light sour cream

  1. Cut lamb into 2.5cm cubes, place in a bowl. Combine wine, lemon juice, garlic, rosemary and seasonings together. Pour over lamb, marinate for 2 hours. Soak wooden skewers in water for 1/2 hour. Thread meat, potato and peppers alternatively onto skewers. Continue until all food is used, making 8 kebabs. Cook on the barbecue or under grill for 3 minutes on each side or until meat is cooked. Stir Worcestershire sauce into cream and spoon over kebabs. Serve accompanied with steamed rice.
