Banana Strudel & Chocolate Custard

Serves 4


  • 4 sheets of filo pastry
  • 1 tablespoon Australian butter, melted
  • 2 bananas, cut in half lengthwise (300g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Chocolate custard (see Chocolate Custard Recipe)

  1. Brush one sheet of filo pastry lightly with butter. Fold in half. Place on banana half, brushed with lemon juice and sprinkled with cinnamon, on the pastry, roll up to enclosed banana in pastry. Repeat with remaining pastry and bananas. Place on a buttered oven tray, lightly brush the tops with butter. Bake at 200C for 15 minutes or until browned. Serve hot with chocolate sauce poured over.
