Apple Sponge

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 50g Australian butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup Australian milk
  • 1 cup Australian pure cream

Method

  1. Place the apples into a deep 20cm casserole dish. Cover and cook on High (100%) for 6-8 minutes. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, add the egg. Alternately add the flour and milk. Pour over the fruit and cook, uncovered, on Medium/High (70%) for 4-5 minutes. Serve with pure cream.
