Apple Cobbler

Serves 6


  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3/4 cup self raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 60g Australian reduced fat dairy spread, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Australian whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 12 small scoops Australian reduced fat vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries, for serving

  1. 1. Place the apple and water in a microwave proof dish, cover and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes or until cooked and tender. Spoon into an ovenproof dish.
  2. 2. Beat the flour, sugar, dairy spread, milk and egg together with a wooden spoon until smooth and combined. Spoon over apples and bake at 180°C oven for 25-35 minutes or until cooked and golden. Stand for 5 minutes before serving with ice cream and berries.
