Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 50g Australian butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1 apple, grated and squeezed of excess moisture
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons currants
  • 1/4 cup Australian cream cheese

Method

  1. Combine butter and cinnamon. Flatten bread with a rolling pin and spread both sides with butter. Combine remaining ingredients and divide mixture into the centre of each bread slice, roll up and secure with a toothpick. Place on an oven tray and bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes or until toasted and golden. Serve hot..
