Do I need a ticket to attend the Cheese Please festival?

Yes – the Cheese Please festival is a ticketed event.

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets to the Cheese Please festival are FREE – however, they are strictly limited.

How do I reserve tickets?

To register your interest for you and a friend to attend the inaugural Cheese Please festival, fill in your details on the registration page http://www.legendairy.com.au/cheesepleasefestival. Successful applicants will be selected by ballot and will be notified via email on 08 February, 2016.

If I am successful, can I forward my ‘successful application’ email on to others?

As a successful applicant, you are given two tickets to the event (one for you, one for a guest). Once you have redeemed these tickets, you cannot redeem any further tickets. 

You are unable to forward your email on to another friend to also claim tickets, as each email/person has access to only 2 x tickets.

Where is the Cheese Please festival located?

The Cheese Please festival is located at the Testing Grounds (1 - 23 City Road, Southbank, just behind the Arts Centre, in Melbourne's Arts Precinct).

The Testing Grounds facility is next door to The Australian Ballet Centre and should be accessed via the City Road entrance (on the corner of Fanning Street and City Road).

What time does the Cheese Please festival start/end?

The festival officially opens at 5.00pm and will finish at 9.00pm.

Is there parking available?

Bicycle parking is available on site, however street parking is extremely limited. There is paid car parking very close in the Ballet Centre and the Arts Centre. There is also parking at Wilsons Carpark – 70 City Road.

What about public transport?

There are many public transport options available with Flinders Street Railway Station only a few hundred metres down the road and a number of tram routes stopping right outside the Arts Centre. The Public Transport Victoria website or app will be able to advise the most efficient route for your journey.

Can I purchase alcohol at the event?

Yes, the bar will be open for purchase of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol will not be sold to persons under the age of 18 and ID may be requested.

Is the Cheese Please festival an R18 event?

Yes – the Cheese Please festival is for adults only and you must be over 18 to register your interest to attend.

Who are the exhibitors? What products will I be able to sample?

The exhibitors are all winners of the Australian Grand Dairy Awards. Samples of Australia’s finest dairy products will be on offer, including cheeses, ice-creams, milks, dips and creams.

Aside from the bar and exhibitors offering cheese/dairy samples, what else can I expect to see at the Cheese Please festival?

There will be a music to keep you entertained all night, as well as some of Melbourne’s most-loved food trucks offering meals to those who would like something a little more substantial.

What are the conditions of entry?

All bags are subject to a security search upon entry. Any prohibited items will be confiscated.

What is not permitted?

No alcohol, food or pets are permitted.

Can I take photographs?

Yes – feel free to take as many photographs as you like and don’t forget to use the hashtag #cheesepleasefestival

Is there seating available?

Yes – there is some table/chair seating scattered around the venue as well as a number of hay bales.

What if it rains?

There will be sheltered areas and marquees available in the event of rain.

What happens if I am unable to attend?
