Northcliffe’s LEGENDAIRY community takes centre stage
Founded in 1924 with the principal purpose of becoming a 'dairy town' through the WA state government's Group Settlement Scheme, Northcliffe is a small regional dairy community with tremendous resilience that has a proud history of utilising innovation, determination and community spirit.
The town’s residents have a 'can do' attitude and say often their greatest advocates for this kind of spirit are their dairy farmers who have a long history of finding strength in challenging times. The dairy industry has championed the town's future and provided a core element of the community's identity.
The Northcliffe community will use the LEGENDAIRY grant to support the visitors centre to commission a sculpture to commemorate the 2015 bushfire.
