Comboyne marks spot on LEGENDAIRY map
It may only be home to 600 people but Comboyne has a long and colourful LEGENDAIRY history. The dairy industry is the backbone of this town, locals say, and through strong community spirit and connectedness, they have overcome many challenges and embraced opportunities.
The Comboyne Show, the Comboyne Village Fair, the Comboyne Camp Draft and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Auction are four LEGENDAIRY examples of how the community embraces the opportunity to showcase the town. The people of Comboyne say all four events are only made possible by the town’s LEGENDAIRY volunteers and the local dairy industry.
Comboyne will use its community grant to support the Comboyne Community Centre’s ‘From Our Grass to Your Glass’ project, which will see a life-sized fibreglass cow installed in the main street of the town. The grant would also be used to support the establishment of a LEGENDAIRY information stall at two Comboyne community events.
